Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its result. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be retained so a response can be prepared. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive technical information when a page loads, including:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files that help measure traffic, popular pages, and where visits end. Analytics services combine that activity into site-use reports. A browser can block cookies, although some functions may then behave differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The site explains how to approach the Maury County Sheriff, local court clerks, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and Tennessee Sex Offender Registry. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not turned into consumer reports or third-party criminal files.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information entered there is governed by that provider's privacy policy rather than this one. Each provider controls its own retention and sharing rules, so review those terms before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Maury County offices, Tennessee agencies, courts, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy terms apply. Review them before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may use activity across websites to select ads. That processing occurs through their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Standard security measures are used to protect collected data. No internet service is fully secure, however, and we cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If such data is identified, it will be deleted.
Your Data Rights
Rights over personal data vary by location and applicable Tennessee law. Public criminal-history access is separately governed by Tenn. Code Ann. § 38-6-120 and the Tennessee Public Records Act, Tenn. Code Ann. §§ 10-7-501 through 10-7-506. Subject to governing law, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
